Trajan's Market

Trajan's Market is a part of Trajan's Forum.  It was composed of stores and/or Trajan's administrative offices.  The Market was constructed during Emperor Trajan's rule (98 – 117 AD) and was built into the Quirinal Hill.

The Market was designed with many and varied architectural elements.  Interior space provided natural lighting and, internally and externaly, several varieties of vaulted archways.
